1 ½ cups raisins 2/3 cup liquid ¼ cup butter ¾ cup sugar 1 egg 1 ½ cup flour 2 tsp baking powder 1 tsp cinnamon ½ tsp cloves ½ tsp salt Cover raisins with water & boil 20 min. save liquid (cool). Cream butter, sugar & egg. Add dry ingredients alternately with liquid. Fold in raisins. Bake cupcake tins 12-15 min. Cool. Frost with Butter icing. Butter Icing: ½ cup butter 3 cup icing sugar 1 ½ tsp vanilla 3 tbsp cream (make ½ recipe for cupcakes)
