2 cups water ¾ cup multi grain cereal (Red River) Bring to a boil & simmer 5 min. Stir in: 1 tbsp butter 1/3 cup molasses 2 tsp salt Let cool. 1 tsp sugar ½ cup warm water 1 pkg yeast Dissolve sugar in water. Sprinkle in yeast & let stand 10 min. Beat in enough flour to make stiff dough. - Approx 4 ½ cups flour. Turn out dough & knead until smooth (about 10 min). Turn into greased bowl & grease all over. Cover & let rise 1- 1 ½ hours. Punch down, knead & let rise 10 min. Put into pans. Cover & let rise about 1 hour. Bake 30-35 min @ 375. Double recipe makes 3 large loaves. For double recipe, do not double salt. Bob adds ½ cup brown sugar to a double recipe.
